Lone Star Points - Done

Back from a weekend in California. Harriet had a surprise 60th birthday party for Abner...he doesn't read my blog, but you can't just be putting stuff out there on the internets. After work today, Al and I walked for two miles over at Lost Mountain, and I worked on completing the Lone Star part of Cattails.  Here is one of the 8 star points.

My doctor told me to start killing people. Well...not in those exact words. She said I had to reduce the stress in my life. Same thing.

I'm workiing on a Lone Star using El Burn's technique. I have had to dump my first attempt and start over! My sections would not met up to save my life!!!!!!!!

Yours look beau-ti-ful!!!

Gina, I have to admit, they are purty! They will pass even the pickiest judges' inspection. Never tried El Burns technique, but my suggestion is 1) remember these are bias edges and handle them as gently and as little as possible. I can't imagine doing this without some kind of foundation to stabilize the sections so they don't stretch. 2)Press the seams (gently!) so that they are all going in the same direction, then when you sew them, they will be interlocking and fall into place. The other thing is to pin them at the intersection. Good luck! Hugs! J
